10 Free Printable Non Candy Valentines

I am sharing the cutest non candy Valentines ideas with you!

Some of you might know that in my day to day life I actually work as a teacher.

I’ve taught all grades from K-8, but for the last few years I’ve been teaching Kindergarten.

So I spend a lot of my time with kids. Ok, most of it.

I know that, sometimes, they spend more time playing and enjoying a tiny little seemingly-insignificant toy then they do with the big-fancy-expensive ones.

So instead of piling on more sugary treats this Valentines Day, I decided to come up with some cute little non candy Valentines Ideas and I’m sharing these with you today along with the free printable PDF files if you want to make your own!

I got all of my little Valentine presents at the dollar store – most of them can be found in the party or goody bag section. My boys helped me choose them, and they also helped me come up with the sayings.

To download the Valentine cards, you will find access to the printable library at the end of the post. Save the PDFs to your computer and you can print them out at home or at a copy center. I went to Staples for mine and had it printed on card stock since I didn’t have any cardstock at home.

Then, I simply cut them out and used my corner rounding tool (left over from my scrapbooking days), to finish them off. You could just as easily use a pair of scissors. I used Scotch tape to attach the little prizes to the Valentines Cards.

I hope you and your Valentines enjoy these!

1

Valentine My Heart Leaps For You

The Valentine's on the table.

Leap Frog. An old classic. And these cute little froggies are designed for finger leapfrog. How fun!

 2

Valentine: You Make My Heart Squawk a Beat

Colourful non candy ideas on the table.

For these, I used the little squawky party favours that make such a pleasant sound. I would be tempted to say choose these ones if you don’t like your child’s teacher, but that just sounds mean. {and thanks to my friend Laura for coming up with this cute saying}

3

Valentine You Make My Heart Glow

Glow bracelets on the table.

For these, I used the thing glow stick bracelets, but you could easily use any kind of glow stick treat. There are plenty of different varieties available.

 4

Valentine You Light Up My Life

Finger lights by the Valentine cards.

For these, I used finger flashlights – the kids always love these, and I think they only cause temporary blindness if you shine them directly into someone’s eyes (I’m kidding).

 5

 Valentine You Blow Me Away

Bubbles to give as Valentine Day gifts.

Who doesn’t love bubbles? They are the best, right? Kids will be over the moon with this little V-Day card and gift, and I think that adults would be secretly thrilled as well. Plus, blowing bubbles can be a very calming activity.

 6

Valentine I’ve Only Got Eyes For You

Little finger puppets on the table.

I’m honestly never quite sure what these are, but I know my students and my own boys love them. Sometimes they end up on fingers (maybe they are for creating a little finger puppet?!?), but just as often they seem to end up on the ends of noses… Whatever they are; they are fun.

Valentine I’m Stuck On You

Plastic cups full of slime.

Slime. It’s always a hit, right? In fact, when we were making these my 5-year-old subconded two jars of the slime and has squirreled it away in his bedroom so I’m going to have to buy some more. Oh well, it isn’t actually as messy as it looks like it would be, and it kept him entertained for hours. Win-win.

Valentine I Feel Bouncy When You’re Around

Bouncy balls on the table.

Bouncy balls. Always a hit! And I just hope that the bounces don’t hit anything valuable:)

Valentine I Can’t See Straight When You’re Around

Colourful fun glasses to give as gifts for Valentine's Day.

These glasses are da bomb. I think I might personally get sick if I looked through them for too long, but somehow they don’t seem to affect children the same way. They love wearing them and I have some in my dress-up center that have lasted for months- and are still popular.

10

Valentine I Just Can’t Disguise How Much I Like You

A fake moustache.

Kids love dressing up. They love disguises and playing with their imagination. These moustaches have been such a hit with my own boys that I thought they’d make a perfect, fun Valentine treat. And the best part is how adorable they look wearing them.

We’ll be using a combination of all of them – between my own class and my boys two classes we have a lot of Valentine’s Day cards to put together.
