I’m so exciting that it worked. It actually worked.
Our lawn makeover project….
We finally have a nice, healthy, lush green front lawn!
After years of leaving our lawn in rough shape; never weeding or fertilizing or watering it; we finally tackled this problem area head on. And I couldn’t be happier with the results.
Plus, I’ve come up with a plan for how we can actually maintain and keep up this makeover.
I can’t wait to share the amazing before and afters from our lawn makeover project!
I shared all the details about how our plans for developing a lush, healthy lawn here.
And then I shared the step-by-step process we following for aerating, thatching, overseeding, and fertilizing it here.
As I shared before, we started out with a lawn in very rough shape. It was basically a mix of weeds and moss with a few tufts of stubborn grass that somehow hadn’t been killed off by lack of care.
We first worked to get rid of the bad (aerating, de-thatching, and using Scott’s Eco-Sense Weed B Gon).
And now for the AFTER…
We still have a few weeds to contend with, but I know that by continuing to work on it over the coming months we can eventually “weed them out”.
When we originally fertilized the new lawn, we used Turf Builder Starter Lawn Food but this fall we plan to apply Scotts Turf Builder Fall Lawn Food to continue to strengthen the roots of our new lawn. As the lawn strengthens it will be able to fight off and crowd out the weeds.
Do you think you might want to give your lawn a makeover? Pin it to remember it!
