Cabin Chic Winter Woodland Christmas Tree Style
Hello friends!
The other day when I shared our Christmas Living Room tour I was pretty excited about our flocked tree this year. Maybe you picked up on that. Just a little?!
I have to tell ya. I really love it. Like, really really do.
I’ve admired flocked trees in Christmas decor for a few years; but also still love a classic green tree.
So why not do both!?!
This year we put up our big 9′ Christmas tree and went with a pretty classic Christmas scheme – to go with the rest of our Christmasy home. And…. yes… I added a second (oops, I mean fourth) tree.
Flocked!
And I just love the cabin chic winter woodland feel of it!
And today I’m taking part in the My Home Style Christmas Tree Hop hosted by Stephanie from Casa Watkins.
If you have “hopped” over from one of the other lovely bloggers on this tour series, then Welcome!! {Start HERE if you are new to my blog and want to learn more!}.
At the end of this post I have the links to the rest of the amazing ladies who are sharing the details on their Christmas trees this week, so there is a lot more to see when you are done here!
I would describe our flocked tree this year as Cabin Chic Winter Woodland…
I’ve used a mix of red berries (which I got for free out of my sister and brother in-laws headed-to-the-trash pile!) along with some beautiful black and white buffalo check ribbon.
I added a bunch of natural frosted picks with red berries and pine cones and have them placed so that they give the tree a slight asymmetrical feel.
Next I threw in a few red cardinal bird clips and then a mix of rustic chic ornaments. Little skis, sleds, wood slice ornaments, cute little rustic houses, and antlers round out the look.
It all makes for a pretty cute combo and gives our whole living room a cozy winter woodland cottagey feel.
But don’t take my word for it!
What do you think of the combo?
Love the Cabin Chic Classic Christmas Woodland feel??

I love the classic red and white look you went with and that black and white houndstooth ribbon is so cool!
The flocking and your woodland chic style is just stunning! Beautiful tree.
I love your beautiful tree, Krista! The buffalo check ribbon goes perfectly with the red on the tree! Gorgeous!
I enjoy looking at other people’s decorations but I think mine are just as nice! I don’t have a blog but would love to share my 6 trees and decorations too! Let me know if you’re interested in pictures….
I love your tree so much. The cabin theme is perfect. Adorable ornaments.
Thank you so much!!
Love your woodland tree. The black and white buffalo check ribbon looks great. Like those Scrabble tile ornaments as well. I love COUNTRY, WOODLAND, anything! The berries and cardinals add so much color, and those sled ornaments are simply the best! I want ’em!
Thank you Barb – I totally agree. I’m loving the hits of red and the woodland feel! Buffalo check all the way…
i adore this tree and it totally suits you! just beautiful, krista!
Thank you Cassie!!
Krista, your tree is absolutely a dream! I’ve been eyeing a tree at Hobby Lobby that has red berries on it for over two years now. I think I need to rush over and pick on up or next year, after seeing how gorgeous the combo is decorated!
Thank you so much Iris! I love the red berries against the flocking:) It’s always such a fun style hop!
