Two days until Christmas?!
I can hardly believe it is nearly here!
It’s been a busy few weeks leading up to Christmas. Between all the extra activities and parties around the holidays and the additional time spent shopping, decorating, baking, and cooking in preparation for Christmas; it makes those cozy evenings that you get to spend at home all that much more amazing.
Turning the lights low; lighting the fireplace; and relaxing with a warm cup of night-time tea…. what could be much better during the long, cold days of December?
Because there really is nothing that creates that cozy feel in your home quite the same way as soft warm glow of Christmas lights twinkling at night.
I’m so excited this week to be part of a gorgeous tour series hosted by my talented friend Rachel from Maison de Pax.
If you’ve come by from the talented Kelly Elko, then welcome!
Wasn’t her tour fantastic? If you missed it, you can visit her here.

So much eye candy just in time for Christmas…
Come on in for our Christmas night tour…
We have one small Christmas tree in the entry hall and then two larger trees in the living room. The first one is our 9′ high classic evergreen tree and I love that it is the first thing you see as you enter this space.
Of course, the new fireplace has been a huge hit the last few weeks that we’ve had it.
Aside from completely changing the feel of the room; it is so cozy and relaxing to hang out in front of…
I used our giant glass storage jars for little snowy Christmas village vignettes on our dining room table and lit them by loosely placing some wire lights inside the jars. The wire lights are on a timer so they light up automatically each evening around 4:30; I love the cozy glow it adds as the sun goes down so early in the day.
