The Blinds Are In!! Our Cordless Bamboo Woven Blinds

Let me show you how my new cordless bamboo woven blinds transformed my living room!

You guys!

I’m so excited about today’s post.

The bamboo roll up blinds are in! They are all installed! And I only broke two drill bits doing it myself.

Not bad, right?

Totally worth it for how gorgeous they are…

Square I love my cordless bamboo woven shades from blindster.com.

If you were following along for the slooooooow progress of our living room during the most recent One Room Challenge then you might have remembered these bamboo window blinds were in my original design plan.

But, as I’m sure you realize, things can get a little complicated when you are trying to complete a whole room makeover in six (but essentially four) weeks and not everything always gets done as planned.

Do you remember what the room looked like, when I did the reveal {without the new blinds} a few weeks back?

Two white armchairs in front of the living room window.

And now that they are in!!

The bamboo blinds on the windows with striped curtains.

What do you think? These blinds make quite a difference, don’t they?

I have been swooning and ogling and pinning and pining over these gorgeous bamboo shades from Blindster.com for a couple of years now and I couldn’t be happier with them!!

I ordered the cordless bamboo woven wood shade in the Aruba Camel finish.

Working with the folks at Blindster.com was amazing. I even called them on the phone! They were so nice and helpful and made sure that I ordered the sizes correctly so that when they arrived they just slid right into place. They feel and look (and are) totally custom and give our living room a much more finished and high end feel then the old (broken) white blinds we had before.

They were also really easy to install {in spite of my broken drill bits}. After I removed the old blinds and hardware, I just figured out where to place the new hardware so that the blinds would sit flush, and then pre-drilled and then screwed in the new hardware, it was that easy…….

The blinds are built to slide right over the hardware and you use this hardware to hold them in place…

And you’re done! Quick and easy, right?

I really love this cordless option – it’s so nice to have the clean look of the blinds without the cords hanging down {plus, they are a safer option if you have a young family}.

They work so much more easily and smoothly then I even expected. Check it out…

Here is how easily they slide down…

And how simple it is to slide them back up…

And they are installed just in time for me to make a few little summery tweaks for our summer house tour next week.

I can’t wait to share it with you!

    1. Hi Casey, I have ordered blinds from a couple of different companies now and I do think they often change the colour names. The best idea is to order some samples of colours similar to what you think you would like and see them in real life first:)

  1. Looks fantastic! Today we just came up with the idea of using some old but perfect condition bamboom blinds in our living room, and I said…wait is that okay to do blinds and curtains? I found your post and several others and it showed me 100% yes it can look amazing! Thanks!

I cannot find these blinds on Blindster! I came across your post on Pinterest and see that it is a year old…but hoping you can point me in the right direction. Thanks!

  4. Bamboo blinds are so pretty – if only they weren’t such a pain in the butt to keep clean! A small price to pay for something so beautiful, though.

  5. Love the curtain rod holders and most definitely would fight you for those floral throw pillows – they are just gorgeous!
