Easy Adorable DIY Yarn Snowball Christmas Wreath
It’s November!
That means that I can start getting ridiculously excited about Christmas.
And that it is time to get down to some serious Christmas crafting.
I’ve got lots of plans, like this easy adorable DIY Yarn Snowball Wreath, and I can’t wait to share them all with you over the coming weeks!
To make this, I started out with:
- A variety of sizes of foam craft balls
- MDF Wreath form
- White Craft Paint
- White yarn
- Glue gun and glue sticks.
I started by gluing the end of the yarn to the foam craft ball…
And then just wrapped and wrapped the yarn around every which way until the yarn “snowball” was completely covered.
Once I had made a ton of “yarn snowballs” I painted this MDF wreath form with white craft paint and then used my glue gun to attach the snowballs to the form. I topped it off by accenting it with some red pom pom ribbon tucked in an around the snowballs.
Done!
I thought that this red and white polka dot grosgrain ribbon was the perfect hanger for this wreath.
I love this cute little Christmas wreath! It is so fun and cheery.
I think it will be perfect for adding some Christmas decor to my boys’ bedroom this holiday season.
Some of my blogging friends are going to be sharing their fabulous holiday wreaths today as well!

I love this wreath Krista! Those snowballs must’ve taken forever to wrap! Looks amazing though! The red touches are the perfect addition 🙂
Thanks Lindi! It did take a while – though not as long as I thought. It was a great little activity while watching some evening TV.
Ahhhhh love this! Simple yet so effective. The pops of red are great against the white.
Cheers,
Meagan
Thanks Meagan!!
This wreath is so sweet! I actually was thinking of trying to make one with white pom poms, but this looks so much easier. Love it!
Oh, white pompoms sounds adorable Dani!
So dang adorable! I applaud your patience wrapping those ‘snowballs’ I’d probably have to take this in shifts.
Definitely shifts, Colleen! A great little task while watching some TV:)
This is the cutest wreath EVER! I love the idea of wrapping the foam balls with yarn… super duper clever. The pop of red is perfect too!
Aw, thanks Christina!! I love the contrast of the red against the white snowballs:)
