Easy DIY Rustic Shelf Install {ORC Week 5}
Good morning, friends! Today I’m super excited to share a little bit more of the progress we have made in our main bathroom makeover.
If you have been following for a while, then you know that I am currently taking part in the One Room Challenge through Linda’s blog Calling it Home. The idea of this challenge is to completely make-over one room in your home within a six week timeline.
This week I made a few more decisions about art & accessories and we also installed a really easy DIY Rustic Shelf behind the toilet.
To make this I found some rustic black metal shelf brackets from my local Home Hardware store. I also used a rustic piece of 2×6 that I’ve had around for a while- it is pretty beat up and rough looking and perfect for this application.
We measured the length that we wanted it to be and cut it to size. We held it in place and checked it for level…
Once level, I held up the brackets and marked them in place.
And then we screwed the brackets into the wall and up into the rustic planks as well.
Done! Quick, easy, cute and functional!
The best part is finding some cute pieces to put on it…
Next week is the big reveal! I can’t wait to pull together the final finishing touches on this main bathroom renovation.
Shower curtain, art, accessories…
We are almost there!
