Friday’s Finds: 20 Affordable Parsons Dining Chairs
In home decor, it’s all about making your space feel curated.
Collected.
Getting away from the I walked into a home store and bought it all in one session syndrome.
So even if you currently have a dining “set” with all matching chairs, you might want to consider switching out the end chairs for something different.
Adding a different element, such as fabric with wooden side chairs, or rattan with metal, gives your space additional texture. You can keep things neutral in colour, or add a fun pop.
And switching out some of the chairs can make a casual space feel more formal (by adding tufted upholstered chairs), or a formal space feel more relaxed (by adding rattan or slipcovered parsons chairs).
In our dining room I’ve used some linen-texture Parsons dining chairs with a simple nailhead detail.
I think it makes things a little more interesting and less matchy matcherson. They tie in really well with our sofa and living room chairs as well, though I chose them before we had our current sofa and chairs!
In fact, even when we had our previous black and wood dining table, I switched out the end chairs with Parson’s chairs to give it a more interesting, less heavy, and more collected feel.
I found my upholstered Parsons chairs at HomeSense (the Canadian version of Home Goods) for a great price (I think they were around $100 each if I remember correctly). I love the linen-y textured fabric and the nailhead detail on the sides.
If you are looking to add some unique end chairs to your dining table, then I’ve pulled together some great sources for you…
Most of the prices shown are for TWO chairs. Just click on the image to read more about that particular chair style.
