Pretty Washi Tape Clothes Peg Push Pins

I guess it is a bit of an organization theme around here this week. First, our linen closet. And now, these super easy and pretty Washi Tape Clothes Peg Push Pins.

I have a confession to make.

Sometimes it is more about the storage being pretty then me actually using a system.

I am still working on the systems part.

But if you are anything like me, then you probably have an IN-SANE amount of paperwork, photographs, cards, invitations, or special child-produced artwork entering through the doors of your threshold on a daily basis.

Do you know what I am talking about??

So generally, I like to pin up special pieces on a bulletin board in our kitchen…but sometimes I don’t want to put holes through those special pieces or photographs. So I crafted up these easy pretty Washi Tape Clothes Peg Push Pins so that I keep could my important things organized without damaging them with holes.

For this project you will need:

-Clothes Pegs
-Flat headed push pins
-Glue – I used a strong glue called Quick Grip
-Paint and paint brush
-Washi Tape

These are a quick and easy project to make. I decided to take my clothes pegs apart to paint them so as to not get paint on the metal clip portion but you could just as easily leave them together to paint…

Once the paint is dry, put the clothes pegs back together and then attach/stick the washi tape to the front side of them.

Next, simply glue the push pins to the back of the clothes pegs – I chose to attach them at the top and bottom so that they would attach securely to the bulletin board. I used the Quick Grip glue that is pictured in my materials picture above, but you could also use E6000 or Gorilla Glue, among others.

Do you have any tips for me?

How do you keep your incoming paperwork organized? What about all the kid’s school papers???

  1. Love the push pins for a cork bulletin board. I’m thinking that gluing magnets to the clothes pin would be great for use on my fridge as well. Grandma’s always need more paper holders.
