Quick and Easy DIY Rustic Paint Stick Stars

This super quick and easy DIY rustic paint stick stars will add that holiday feel to your decor!

I am super excited today to be here sharing these Quick and Easy DIY Rustic Paint Stick Stars. Not only were they quick and easy but they cost almost nothing. I went into the paint store quite willing to pay for my wooden paint sticks and they gave them to me for free! I owned the glue and the wood stain, so all I had to buy were some decorative nails to add to the rustic feel of them. The best part: even those these STARS make a great decoration for the holidays, they are also totally transitional and can be used all year round.

To make these you will need:

– 5 paint sticks per star
– glue (I used Quick Grip permanent glue)
– wood stain (or paint for a painted finish)
– decorative nails

Arranging the paint sticks and gluing them together.

I started by placing the paint sticks in a star shape, and then using me Quick Grip glue to attach them together where they overlapped. I used something to weight them down in a few spots while they dried.

Once the glue had dried, I used some wood stain to give them a dark, rustic finish.

Lastly, I added some decorative nails on each corner to add an extra little rustic touch to the stars.

They were the perfect decor item to dress up our long hallway for Christmas….

A Christmas sign is below the star on the wall.

But I think that they are neutral enough to be used all year round as well.

I made these are part of the Get Your DIY On Challenge: STARS.
