Seasonal Simplicity Spring Home Tour

So this might be one of the longest, coldest winters I remember.

Honestly, we don’t often get much of a winter here on the west coast. Usually there are one or two days with a bit of snow that melts almost as soon as it lands.

But this year… this year has been a whole other story! Full of cold, wintery days. And snow. Actual snow. Even into March!

To me, spring is all about colour. Well, I guess every season is all about colour; but I especially LOVE spring colours.

And giving your home a springy feel doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. Add some crisp, springy colours; fresh flowers; and a few seasonal touches are all you need!

Today I’m super excited to be teaming up with an amazing group of bloggers who are also sharing a beautiful springy space in their homes as part of the Seasonal Simplicity Home Tour Series. In fact, my friend April and I are cohosting this series; and all week some of our blogging friends and I are sharing part of our homes all ready for spring.

If you hopped over here from House by Hoff,  or any of the other tours, then welcome!

To me, spring is all about colour. Well, I guess every season is all about colour; but I especially LOVE spring colours. I love to take the cues from my favourite crisp spring days; bright blue skies, the fresh green buds, and new pink blossoms.

So come on in!

I switched up the gallery wall again – I couldn’t help but add back this favourite canvas of ours. It’s actually painted by our brother-in-law; and it’s so springy and fresh that it’s perfect for this time of year. I’ve mixed it in with some of my pics from Minted.

I kept the rest of it fairly simple; switching out some of our pillows with some springy designs and adding some fresh flowers.

I mainly “shopped the house” for all of our spring decor, but I did order a couple of yards of new fabric from Tonic Living. This buffalo check in a blush colour, along with the green brush stroke design fabric on our upholstered window bench give a fresh feel to our spring living room.

I’ll be sharing more about this coffee table turned upholstered bench/window seat on the blog soon!

I’ll be back soon to share a sneak peak at our spring dining room; along with a free printable Happy Easter banner!

Until then, did you see something you liked? Here are my sources or similar finds…

Here in Colorado our winter has been so weird. Pretty much in the 50s and 60s with almost no snow. Now that spring is here I am so glad, but it’s not much different than the winter has been!

    Happy spring to you! 🙂
