Simple DIY Wooden Fall Woodland Banner

I will show you how to make this fall banner, with wood details to bring warmth to your home!

There’s just something about Fall that lends itself to the natural. The outdoors. The rustic.

I love decorating with rustic, textured and natural elements in the fall.

Baskets. Jute. Twine. Fall leaves. Flowers. Twigs.

And wood.

Natural wood tones add so much warmth to your home in the fall and winter; and you don’t have to bring in huge pieces to feel this nature inspired effect.

Something as simple as a wooden sign or a cute wooden banner can do the trick.

And this simple DIY Wooden Fall Banner is the perfect example of bringing in this kind of warmth with wood.

All you need to make this is some cute wooden craft cutouts, jute twine, wood stain, and your glue gun…

How to make this:

Just stain the wooden banner cutouts and let them dry – I used a darker, chestnut stain for mine but you could use any colour you like.

Space them out evenly along your twine and attach them to the twine with your glue gun.

Hang, and enjoy! {I just hung mine with some clear tape}

I love the fun little fall rustic touch this adds to our entry hall…

Maybe you spotted it during our Fall Home Tour the other day?

The woodland fall banner strung up on the wall with images of acorns and squirrels.

The fall banner is on the wall underneath a large map, there is a chair underneath the banner.

Hello fall is written on the chalkboard underneath the banner.

On the chair under the wood banner there is a pillow on the chair that says gather on it, with pictures of acorns.

The wall above the banner is a large map taking up the whole wall.

Come on by to see the rest of our entry hall and living room; I shared them during the first part of our Fall Home Tour a couple of days ago.

Several of the items in this entry were DIYs; and I have some other natural and rustic fall projects you may love!

    1. I have really come to love that map wall- I wasn’t sure at first and went with tape to “install” it before I committed but now I feel really committed to it!
