I hope you are all starting to enjoy a little bit of springier weather.
The time has changed in our neck o’the woods so at least we have longer days, now. I love every additional minute of light that we get in the evening!
After last week’s spring home tour of our living room I had several readers emailing and commenting, asking about the pillows in our living room.
So today I’m sharing some fabulous springy pillow sources, along with how you can make your own and my favourite source for curated fabrics, if you are sew inclined!
I love switching out my pillows for the season. And spring might be my favourite… It’s so fun to add in some pretty springy, fresh colours after a more neutral or darker winter scheme.
Each February I hop over to my favourite online fabric source (Tonic Living) and pick out my favourite new fabrics. This year, I focused on pinks and greens to mix in with out constant blue palette of our home and I ordered a shell pink buffalo check along with a green called Mill Reef Palm. I thought these would work really well with the Eastern Charm Hibiscus fabric that I selected last spring.
To make my pillows I generally use a simple one-piece envelope style.
They literally take minutes.
The great thing about Tonic Living is that they also sell high quality Pillow Covers in all of their fabrics – you can shop online in their pillow shop, or message them if you want to request pillows made in other fabrics that they sell.
I’ve also collected some fun pillows from various favourite online shops; I hope you find something you love!
