Stunning & Simple Spring Time Bird House

Create your own bird house with this easy tutorial. Such a beautiful springtime addition!

Today I have an adorable and easy project to share with you: stunning and simple Spring Time Bird Houses that have a unique, sparkly twist. As I mentioned the other day, I am taking a vacation this week in honour of it being Spring Break around this neck o’the woods and Amy from Delineate Your Dwelling has stepped up and offered to share a project with y’all in my absence.

Thanks so much Amy – take it away!!
Hello, it’s Amy from Delineate Your Dwelling.

I’m so excited to be doing a guest blog post today with all you lovely Happy Housies! Today I am sharing how to create the perfect Spring Time Bird House.
A birdhouse built with a floral design on the outside of it.
Supplies:
. Chipboard Bird House
. Book Pages
. Mod Podge
. Scrapbook Paper
. Sponge Brush

Mod Podge, a brush and a birdhouse laid out for the tutorial.
This is such a fun and simple DIY project. Start by cutting out the book pages for each side of the bird house. I also cut out pieces for the top of the bird house.
Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to both the bird house and the book page.

Brushing the Mod Podge onto the birdhouse.
Next, I carefully cut out a few flowers from my scrapbook paper and applied them in the same fashion as the book pages.

The completed birdhouse with decorative paper and floral detail on it.
I wanted a little more spring time sparkle, so I gave the roof a quick brush with mod podge and sprinkled on some silver glitter.
