20 Fab DIY Paint Projects with Tips & Tutorials

Today I’m sharing a collection of some of my favourite DIY painting projects.

It’s a big week around here! This  morning we are gearing up to start painting the exterior of the house! My husband and I are both off this week so it’s an ideal time to get this huge DIY project tackled as a team.  I love painting projects; there are few transformations as quick and easy and dramatic as you can create with a couple of coats of new paint.  It’s so satisfying!

When we transformed the large rec room/family room in our previous basement, I painted a Greek Key Design as a dramatic accent on our TV wall and shared the detailed how-to tutorial for it…

This old dresser went through two paint makeovers, first black, and then this white chalk paint.  The detailed lines were perfect for distressing beautifully, and I shared all my tips on how to use chalk paint to create a distressed finish in this post…

Our second bedroom dresser (before we installed our PAX units in the closet makeover), was a basic and inexpensive Ikea Tarva dresser that I created a unique faux linen texture on.  I shared the how-to in this post: Ikea Tarva Hack dresser with faux linen texture
