This recipe for real fruit blackberry mango white wine slushie is soo refreshing! I am also sharing 20 other incredible summer drink recipes.

Two days and counting! That’s what we have left around here until school is officially OUT for summer!  It’s been an awesome school year, but no matter how great the year is, summertime is always much anticipated.  I mean, it’s vacation!  Holidays!  Time to celebrate…

Today I’m sharing a new twist on an old favourite drink.  We love real fruit slushies in our house, and I’ve made this delicious blackberry mango real fruit slushy in two different versions: one with white wine for the adults and one with white cranberry juice for the kids.   I think you’ll love it just as much…

To make this for an adult crowd, I recommend the blackberry mango white wine slushy version.  It’s easy as pie: just real frozen fruit and then white wine to blend.  A sweeter white wine, such as a Moscato, is good for adding that little bit of extra sweetness to your slushy.  And if you want an extra bit of kick, you can always throw in a half to an ounce of vodka per drink you are mixing.  I generally use about a 2-1 ratio of frozen fruit to liquid, but you can adjust this in order to make sure you achieve that beautiful, smooth slushy consistency. I was worried that the fresh blackberries would be really seedy but they blended beautifully in our Ninja.

Blackberry Mango Real Fruit White Wine Slushy

A delicious and refreshing slushy recipe using real fruit and white wine or make the non-alcoholic version of these blackberry mango slushies.

Course Drinks
Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen blackberries
  • 2 cups frozen mango chunks
  • 2-3 cups white wine

Instructions

  1. Blend the frozen blackberries with 1-1.5 cups of white wine until smooth and of a slushy consistency. Pour into the bottom of 4 glasses

  2. After rinsing the blender, add the frozen mango chunks to it and blend with another 1-1.5 cups of white wine until smooth and of a slushy consistency. Pour into the 4 glasses on top of the blackberry mixture, pooling it slightly on the top.

  3. For a virgin version, substitute white cranberry juice for the white wine.

  4. For a slightly stronger alcoholic version, add 2 ounces of vodka while blending.

Non-alcoholic Version:

To make this drink for a group of kids, just sub white cranberry juice for the white wine.  They are super delicious and refreshing and not full of all the usual junk that is packed into regular slushy drinks. No preservatives, food dyes, or any other funky chemicals.  Just real fruit and the liquid of your choice… super easy and I can’t even explain how refreshingly delicious these are!  My boys have been asking for them daily since I first started experimenting with this combination of fruit flavours.
