Have you been busy in the yard and garden lately?? We have spent the last 7 days power washing, deck staining, painting concrete, gardening, and all-around fixing up our deck, pool area, and entire yard. Whew. I can't wait to show you how the yard turned out - such changes! This pic is of the deck at our old house - that was a big job, too, but we loved spending all our downtime out there in the warmer months, so I know the effort we just put in at our new home will be worth it. Lemons and ferns are both quintessential elements of summer to me... lemons remind me of the most delicious lemonade that my Aunt used to make each summer and I would look forward to it as part of our yearly visit to see extended family that lived far away. Ferns remind me of cool walks in the forest on hot summer days. Can't you just feel that balmy cool that seems to emanate from the trees and forest ferns? What are you up to, this weekend? We have so many outdoor projects that we wanted to tackle this long weekend and the 🌧 is not cooperating. Thankfully we got the deck stained Friday in time for it to dry before a huge rainstorm came through... we woke up this morning to calmer skies but the forecast is predicting ⛈⛈⛈ by 3pm!?!
