DIY Winter Wreath Ideas You’ll Love!

Christmas has been put to bed indoors, but our porch still retains it’s holiday cheer. It’s probably time to brave the sideways January rain and get outside to switch things over to a more neutral winter palette. I personally believe that the winter greens can stay  until the first primulas begin to populate grocery store entrances around early February.

I’ve had a few friends, after taking down all their Christmas entry displays, ask me “what should I put on my door between now and spring”?

Right?!?

It can be a bit tricky. I mean, you could always leave your door completely bare. But where’s the fun in that?

This weekend I’m planning to don my waterproof parka and banish the most Christmas-y elements of our porch decor, such as the red berries picks and the cedar garland. I’m also planning to transition our wreath to a more winter-neutral feel. But if that doesn’t work then I’ll whip up something new that can welcome our visitors from January through March.

Whether it be rustic and natural, full or real greenery; or crafted from yarn or feathers and snowflakes; there are a multitude of creative ways to adorn your door during the cold, dark days of winter.

Today I’m sharing some super adorable and welcoming DIY Winter Wreath ideas – just click on the link below the image to be taken to each tutorial. I hope you find just what you are looking for!

  1. Krista,
What a beautiful selection of wreaths – good thing I like to decorate all three doors at my house, plus the inside of the front door, and several places on walls! I am going to make the white fur wreath with the glitter deer for my s-i-l because her husband and son hunt and I know they will enjoy the deer posed on the edge of the “snow.” What a nice round-up of wreaths.
