Easy & Vibrant Fall Front Porch Decor

Transform your front porch with my easy and vibrant outdoor fall decor ideas!

The weather around here has cooled down significantly, and with settling back into our fall routine, I have to say that I really don’t mind. We’ve had some cloudy days and even a bit of rain; and it’s definitely warm jacket season once again. All of these weather changes have put me in the mood for fall.

I’ve let go of summer and I’m now looking forward to sweaters and boots. Scarves and cozy vests. Warm soup and pumpkin spice chai.

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my story this weekend where I shared my joy at finding pumpkins at our local farm market already!

I know it seems SO early. I mean, Halloween is weeks and weeks away. But, they’re here! And not a moment too soon, because I had my sights set on changing our front porch over to fall this past weekend. And  you can’t do fall porch decor without pumpkins, am I right?

And I found not just regular pumpkins; but some pretty crazy warty and striped pumpkins as well!

What do you think of this guy?

I didn’t intend to buy such a BIG pumpkin so early in the season… but once I saw this one, I had to have it!

A very large orange pumpkin plus two little ones on the porch.

The three pumpkins are beside a potted plant on the porch.

I added some beautiful purple winter kale to my summer pots; I think the colour and texture works perfectly with the Coleus and Potato Vine that are still going strong from summer…

I also switched out our fall wreath; I’ll be sharing my tutorial for this super quick and easy five minute hydrangea wreath later in the week!

Pumpkins and Mums. That’s really about all you need…

Oh, and maybe a few apples.  I chose green apples to put in the wooden apple crate.

I’m pretty excited that this is (hopefully, fingers crossed) the LAST time I’ll share our porch with this siding. I HOPE that we make it around this far on the house by the time we’re ready to switch over to a Christmas porch. I can’t wait to see the entry with the new Hardie Shingle!

The door to the house is ajar with the wreath hanging on the door.

Next week I’ll be back to share our fall entry hall tour, as well!

Until then, I hope you’ve found a little bit of seasonal decor inspiration for some super easy ways to add a welcoming fall feel to your front porch!

Some of my talented blogging friends are sharing their front porches today too!

  6. Wow… such a natural vibe! I just love the idea of using pots of live plants and flowers, and real pumpkins for fall decorating. Then mums color is one of a kind – it’s my favourite. This year I’ve used exactly the same shade for decorating my porch. And Inhave no words for that wreath 🙂 Greets!
