Fall Home Tour Part Two!

Do you love seasonal decor? Or prefer to stick with a pretty solid look all year round?

I definitely like to change things up a little for each season… but over the past few years I have enjoyed making me seasons last longer and longer.

Truth be told, I don’t know if I will decorate much for Halloween this year. We just have so much going on that I don’t think I’m up for it.

But, Fall?! Autumn?! Fall Home Tour? That’s a whole other story.

Super easy peasy fall decor ideas and our fall house tour part two at thehappyhousie.com

I’m loving the warm touches to our decor this fall. And really, I don’t think it has to take a whole lot of effort to add a little “fall” or “autumn” to your home.

Today I’m part of a fabulous group of Canadian bloggers sharing their Fall Home Tours, and I want to share with you some super simple ideas for “fall-ifying” your home, without going over-the-top.

Let’s start with the front porch!

All it takes to fall-ify your front porch is picking up a few tubs of fall flowers at your local big box store, throw in some pumpkins, and maybe some plaid pillows if you have somewhere to put them. Done!

This wreath took about five minutes, tops.

I used some faux eucalyptus leaves from my local dollarama and simply wrapped and tied them to a grapevine wreath form. Great colour, simple style, super thrifty, and no time at all. Perfect!

This fabric from Online Fabric Store is still one of my all-time faves…and isn’t the colour scheme perfect for the season?! It’s called Iman Ubud Sunstone.

Our little console table in the front entrance is still one of my favourite pieces. We “inherited” it from our sister and brother-in-law when they were redoing their living room. It’s a fab little piece but is pretty scratched up on top (something about 3 year olds digging metal objects into it?!)… so I think it may get a paint job one of these days.

Did you ever see how I actually made that lampshade myself?! Such a fun project! I borrowed it out of my craft room for Fall. Shopping the house is always one of my favourite tricks for changing up my decor seasonally.

Fresh flowers are great for every season… I don’t buy bouquets – I just save some money by purchasing them in bulk at the florist and then grouping them in jars or vases once home.

Oh, pumpkins. Nothing else quite says “fall” in the same way. Except, maybe, maple leaves.
