Fantastic Ideas for Organizing Kid’s Bedrooms

I am sharing the best organizational tips for a kid’s bedroom that will change your life!

Kid’s Room.

Keeping them tidy is an ongoing issue for the majority of us.

And organization?

It is not some inborn trait that you are born with or not born with.

Of course, some people are naturally more organized; just as we differ in all traits and abilities.

But organization is also a skill that can be taught. And a habit that can be developed.

Just like learning to ride a bike, swim, or skate can be taught; and like exercise, fitness, and healthy eating can all become important daily habits; so too organization can become part of our lives. And from that point, it becomes part of our children’s lives.

To help our children become skilled in organization means that we first have to provide them with an organized environment. I’ll be talking more about this in my post later this week where I share our boys’ bedroom organization project; but for today I’ve collected over 30 fantastic ideas for helping you to turn your kid’s room(s) into functional and organized places that they can keep tidy, themselves.

With support, of course! Because that is our job as parents, right? To scaffold and support our small children as they grow and develop the skills they need to become happy and functioning adults.

When researching this topic, there are some key areas I considered while collecting ideas for organizing kid’s bedrooms. I looked for ideas related to clothing storage (closets and dressers), toy and book storage; and desks or workspaces. I’ll share more playroom and toy storage next week; but as many homes don’t necessarily offer a playroom space; kid’s bedrooms have to double for toy storage a lot of the time. I found some awesome extra storage ideas such as using that area under your child’s bed for all kinds of storage and organization.

I’ve been collecting all kinds of fantastic ideas about on my Pinterest Board about Organizing Kid’s Bedrooms, and continue to add to it as I see new ideas.
