Free Printable Activity Based Advent Calendar

I’m sharing a free printable activity based Advent Calendar that you can simply, print, cut, glue, and use this holiday to help you create special family holiday memories each day of December leading up to Christmas.

Today’s post is one of those that I’ve had ready to go for a few weeks and just haven’t had the time to sit down and write. The month of November has been super busy and the days are absolutely whipping by.  I can’t believe it will be December in just a few days.  Which means that it’s time to get out those Advent calendars again!

This year I want to do something a little bit different for my boys’ Advent Calendars.  Instead of chocolates or treats, I decided to focus on creating special memories together each day during December.  The school year is so busy between school, sporting activities, music lessons, playdates, work, and projects.  I want to take some time to enjoy what matters this month and push lesser priorities down the list.  I know that my boys will be really excited about the ideas and experiences that I’ve included in this Activity Based Advent Calendar!

To make this Activity Based Advent Calendar, you just need small envelopes and then the free printables that I’ve added to my Free Printable library.  I have created 3 pages (36 different options) of fun activities and experiences; lots of choices for the 24 days of December leading up to Christmas!  I’ve also created a blank page so that you can write your own specific/individualized ideas.

All you need to do is print, cut out, and then place one idea in each of the small envelopes according to a schedule that works for you.  Then glue the day numbers on the outside of the small envelopes, and hang them all up somewhere in your home! It’s that easy!

I’ve attached some baker’s twine to a bamboo ladder and then clipped each envelope on with a mini clothes peg.  You could also hang some twine or string along a long stretch of wall somewhere in your home, and hang the envelopes on that. Or you could pin each of the envelopes to a cork board and display it somewhere in your home. It looks very festive!
