Today I’m sharing two different free printable banners that would be perfect for New Year’s Eve: “Happy New Year” and “Celebrate”.
New Year’s Eve…
I can hardly believe that 2019 is drawing to a close and that 2020 is just around the corner. I know everyone says that as you get older the years seem to go faster and faster, and I used to roll my eyes at that a little when I was younger. But… it’s true!
This past year especially has been so busy with all the renovations that it has whipped by tremendously quickly; but it also feels like we have been in our new home for much longer than just a year. I’m really excited to see what 2020 holds for our family and am looking forward to ringing in the New Year this year with those closest to me.
If you’re planning to host any kind of NYE event, today I’m sharing some free printable banners that you can use to (cheaply) add a festive touch to your holiday decor! I’ve made two gold banners – one that reads “Happy New Year” and on that reads “Celebrate”.
Also, today I’ve joined a group of my blogging friends to share the last post in the Seasonal Simplicity Christmas Series; we are all sharing a New Year’s Eve idea with you! Make sure to check out the bottom of today’s post to see what they have in store.
Although it is hard to tell in the picture, the colour when printed is a really pretty muted gold with some depth to it – almost like a soft gold leaf colour. I love how beautifully this banner printed, and I think you will too…
I included some blank golden banner pieces to add between the lettering on the “Happy New Year” banner if you wish.
They are super easy to make!
Just print them out, cut the pieces out (I used my small paper cutter for straight lines on the edges), and then tape some pretty ribbon or twine to the back, spacing the pieces evenly.
Either of these New Year’s Eve banners would be perfect adorning a fireplace, a bar cart, or even a blank stretch of wall. I simply stretched mine across the art work that we have hanging in our dining room, and I love the pop of gold with all our blues. I can’t wait to share my NYE table decor ideas later this week, with all the winter whites and pops of gold. I’ll be sharing that on Thursday.
The last few years we have celebrated NYE with our boys and will do the same this year. As they are growing older so quickly, we are super aware of how few years we have left when they are around and wanting to celebrate these kinds of occasions with us. Years ago, I remember celebrating “east coast” NYE at 9pm and putting them to bed (and not always making it to midnight PST, ourselves)….
We shall see how late we all make it this year. I’m thinking we’ll see the clock switch over from 2019 to 2020… how about you?
