Happy holidays, friends!
Christmas is now officially behind us for this year, but that doesn’t mean that the holiday fun is all over. A few days from now, we’ll all be saying good-bye to 2017 and welcoming in another year.
Can you believe it will be 2018?! Time is certainly racing by; and this time of year always has me waking up in the middle of the night with reflections and plans and ideas for the year ahead. I’ll be sharing my reflections on 2017, along with our plans for 2018, very soon but before that I thought it would be fun to focus on something a little more, well, FUN.
So today I’m sharing our bar cabinet dressed up to welcome in the New Year, along with some free printable banners for you to use in your own New Year’s Eve decor this year!
Maybe you saw my post a few weeks ago with all the details on our new bar cabinet? It has worked perfectly over the holidays as a serving area and on Christmas Eve we used it as a wine bar area. I loved having the wine bar located in the dining room for guests to serve themselves instead of having everyone crowded into the kitchen.
For NYE, I made this banner with the wording CELEBRATE to fit the wall above the bar cabinet, but I also made it with the wording “CHEERS” if you have a smaller space, or “HAPPY NEW YEAR” if you want to fill a larger wall. You can download your own copy further down in this post!
And today I’ve joined up with of my blogging friends to share New Year’s Eve decor and bar cart ideas, so you can find even more beautiful NYE decor inspiration and bar cart ideas by hopping over to my fellow bloggers posts. The links to those are also at the bottom of this post.
I’m definitely going back there. Really soon.
The tree and all of the Christmas decorations will be coming down later this week so that we can have a fresh start for the new year. I’ve got some purging and organizing and deep cleaning planned as well (speaking of fun ;)… and our decor for the months ahead will be calm and winter-cozy featuring all kinds of blue upon blue.
So why not start with blue for New Year’s, right??
Did you see something you love?
I’ve gathered my sources (or similar finds) together for you!
Want to decorate a spot in your house for New Year’s Eve this year? Then all you have to do is download your own copy of the banner, print it out, and then glue it onto some twine. I used some leftover sparkly Christmas twine along with my hot glue gun to turn these simple printouts into a cute and festive banner…
Download your own copy here!
You could add some blank flags on either side to make it a bit longer…
I also made this with some alternate wording… download the same banner with “CHEERS”….
Or how about the classic, “HAPPY NEW YEAR”! This one is a bit longer, and print the blank pieces to put in between each word…
Some of my friend’s are sharing their gorgeous New Year’s Eve Bubble Bar Cart Decor Ideas for you today. Head over to take in the beautiful ideas that they have in store…
