Friday’s Faves

Good morning friends!

So it’s March 2nd… and I was planning to photograph our spring home today to share over the coming weeks… and it’s snowing. Seriously?!

Snow in March is fairly uncommon here on the West Coast so I’m hoping it’s a blip and will be gone by this afternoon. As you can probably imagine, it’s a bit difficult to whip up spring planters and finish off the spring porch when there is snow flying all around you! And I’m really excited to share some spring inspired posts with you next week, so fingers crossed that the weather cooperates and I manage to get my act together today!

I’ve gathered together my favourite finds from the week; posts I’ve read, tours I’ve taken, and sales I’ve spotted that really stood out for me and that I wanted to share with you…

Spring break is only a couple of weeks away and it always has me dreaming of summery, tropical locations, so I was really drawn in by a beautiful coastal home tour that came up in my Pinterest feed this week. Via Coastal Living

And I’m totally swooning over this gorgeous beachy breakfast nook, via House of Turquoise.  Isnt’ that bead chandelier absolutely stunning? And the mix of blues and aqua in the cushions is right up my alley…

I’ve never seen a wood bead chandelier in this colour but I have been ogling over this gorgeous sea glass chandelier from Pottery Barn….

I think it would be equally at home in a breakfast nook or a bedroom… I’d love to add it to our bedroom one day!

My jaw dropped when I saw the amazing before and after of this complete modern farmhouse remodel Via Hooked on Houses… I always love a good before and after!

And my friend Abby shared her stunning and beautifully organized home office reveal at Just a Girl and Her Blog.  I love the Ikea hack Besta shelving (and she has a full DIY tutorial on it!)…

If you have a tiny space to fill, then a DIY console table like this one, via Nourish & Nestle, would be perfect! I often admire these tables through online retailers, and you could really save some money if you have some DIY skills…

Just imagine it with your favourite stain colour! It’s very similar to this narrow console table from Joss & Main

If you missed my DIY spring wreath tutorial this week, then you may have missed all the gorgeous wreaths that my friends shared, as well! I am completely smitten with these adorable DIY succulent embroidery hoop wreaths that April came up with over at House by Hoff

And my friend Christina, over at  The DIY Mommy just launched her new super afforable and adorable pillow collection! Head over to check out what she has available!!

Despite the snow falling outside the windows, I’m getting pretty excited to be sharing our springy living room. I’m loving that we have “Spring” going on inside, even if the outside isn’t cooperating. All the cheery spring colours and happy faux florals are exactly what I need to get me through these last few weeks of winter!

And if you are looking for some cheery faux florals to add to your decor this spring, then Pier 1 is having a great sale right now! The key to faux florals is getting good quality ones that look super realistic, and I find the best ones at Pier 1, as well as at Michael’s and even Ikea. I’ve gathered a few of Pier 1’s sale spring blooms together for you…

Have a great weekend, friends!
