DIY Ombre Tulip Spring & Easter Wreath
Today I’m sharing a super quick and easy 5 minute DIY Ombre Tulip Spring Wreath that has an Easter flair.
Woot Woot! Spring is on the way. It’s officially March and we have just ten days of school left before our Spring Break. After the break, there are only two days left of March and it will be April, which is definitely spring! April and May are my favourites because the days are getting longer, it’s warming up, and between the bouts of intense rain (trust me, we get a lot of that living in a rainforest area), the sun comes out and you feel cheery and excited and full of hope.

I also love me some bright spring colour! Bring on all the pretty flowers and all the pink and yellow and white and purple and whatever else. After a long, dreary, often rainy winter I’m also thrilled to be able to spend more time outdoors as I love gardening in the spring (the fall, not so much). I am looking forward to getting our front porch in shape this spring, and I think this adorable and super fast DIY Ombre Tulip Wreath is going to spread cheer all around the neighbourhood!
To make this you will need:
8 small bunches of faux tulips (I bought mine at Michaels on BOGO so they were super thrifty!)
1 grapevine wreath form
1 small bird’s nest (from the dollar store, but I’ve also seen them at Michael’s)
3 colourful faux Easter Eggs
Glue Gun and hot glue
Ribbon for hanging the wreath
You will notice that I later decided to replace the red/orange tulips with some pink ones I had, instead. The vibrant colours just felt better and more springy to me.
To begin, I found the bottom center of the grapevine wreath, and then just tucked the tulip bunches into and in between the branches of the grapevine to hold them secure. Any piece that came out the back or bottom, I just twisted back up into the wreath. I built them up in an ombre form, with lighter tulips at the bottom leading to darker ones so they flow up by colour.
I then glued a little bird’s nest into the center and added three Easter Eggs, attaching them with more hot glue. I prefer to tuck the flowers instead of glue so it’s easier to take the wreath apart and make something new when I feel like it!
It was super quick and easy and I absolutely love how this DIY wreath turned out!
If that doesn’t feel like a bucket full of spring on your front door, I don’t know what will! And today my friends are sharing their DIY Spring Wreath Ideas as part of the Seasonal Simplicity Series: Spring Wreath Hop.
