Strawberry Peach White Wine Slushie

This is the most delicious strawberry, peach, white wine slushie that you will ever sip.

Summer is on the way… right?

Here on Vancouver Island we are experiencing a much cooler then usual spring, so it really feels like summer is a long way off. But there is just over a month and a half left in school, so I know that things have to be heating up here really soon.

I love summer.

I can’t wait for long days at home with my boys; swimming, kayaking, hiking, and probably pitching to them endlessly as they practice their baseball skills (despite the fact that I’m just about the worst pitcher in the world, only topping most children under age 3).

And with those long, hot summer days comes summer entertaining. Barbecues. Evening fires under the stars. Lovely refreshing  summer drinks.

Like this amazing and crazy-easy to make Strawberry Peach White Wine Slushie. Not only is it easy, it’s relatively health-conscious too, as far as bevy’s go; made from only white wine, frozen fruit (no sugar added), and ice!

That way you’re not spending any extra time in the kitchen and can maximize your outdoor enjoyment. I can’t wait for the West coast weather to warm up enough to serve this delicious drink!

This week I’m participating in the Outdoor Extravaganza again with some amazing fellow bloggers and hosted by my friend Shauna from Satori Design for Living.

Last week our theme was plants & gardening and I shared my DIY copper patina clay pot. This week’s theme is outdoor decorating and entertaining.

And…since our outdoor space is currently ripped apart, I thought I’d share an easy idea for outdoor entertaining with you today!

All you really need is your blender, a bottle of wine, frozen fruit (I used peaches and strawberries), and ice.

Wine, a blender, strawberries and peaches on the counter.

Blending all the ingredients together.

Putting the slushie mixture in clear glasses on the counter.

Topping it off with the frozen strawberry mixture.

Done! So yummy and refreshing….

You will love this! Definitely give this wine slushie recipe a try this summer….

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of white wine
  • 2 + cups of frozen peach and/or mango slices
  • 1 + cups of frozen strawberries
  • 3 cups of ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Blend 2 cups (or 2/3 bottle) of white wine with about 2 cups of frozen peaches (add mango if you fancy it) as well as 2 cups of ice cubes.
  2. Pour into four glasses.
  3. Blend 1 cup of white wine (or the last 1/3 of the bottle) with about 1 to 1.5 cups of strawberries and 1 cup of ice.
  4. Pour it on top of the peach slushy.
  5. Add a straw and serve icy!

Depending on how strong of a wine flavour you prefer, you can experiment with less or more fruit and ice. This makes quite a light summer drink with a hint of wine; not a strong wine taste. The wine you use makes a difference as well; I used a Moscato which is a sweeter white but the slushies weren’t overly sweet; you could use a drier white if that flavour is your flavour preference.Slices of peaches, a strawberry and wine on the table.

Definitely needs the sweet white wine. But very easy and refreshing. Just a little sour with a non-sweet wine. Next time 🙂

  2. I need help, mine turned out wrong. It was a smoothie instead of a slushie. It was too thick so I added more wine and it was still like a smoothie. So I added more ice and it’s still bad.

    1. Sorry to hear that it didn’t work well for you. I wonder if the fruit proportion was off? That would make it thicker.

  3. I’m picturing drinking these by the lake right now. Yum! The sun is finally shining today and now we just need the temperature to kick it up a few notches. Enjoy your long weekend 🙂

    1. Thanks Shauna, it’s cloudy and cool out today, but supposed to warm up by tomorrow! Have a fantastic long weekend!

I got 2 recipes only! Where are the other 13:??? Thought I had hit a treasure trove. So disappointed. Arrelene from Pinterest

      1. If you read down in the post, you will see that all the other ideas are linked below the image. I’m not sure why you thought there were two recipes – I only shared one – and why there were 13 in total? Perhaps a pinterest pin was linked incorrectly to my site because I’m quite confused by your comment:)
