Raspberry Lemon Quench Rose Sangria

With spring right around the corner I wanted to share this thirst quenching raspberry lemon sangria!

It’s nearly here! Tomorrow will be the official first day of spring, Easter is just around the corner, and soon beautiful flowers will be blooming all around us.

I’m super excited today to be hosting the last week of my Spring Simplicity hop series. Next week will begin the Seasonal Simplicity home tours!

Over the past four Tuesdays myself and a talented group of my blogging friends have shared our spring DIY projects, spring wreaths, spring mantel/vignettes, free spring printables, and now today we are sharing our favourite springy recipes!

My brother-in-law first introduced me to his incredible, homemade sangria several summers ago and I’ve always wanted to create my own delicious version.

While traditional sangria is fruity and not too sweet, I thought that using a rose wine as the base would make for a springy and fresh remake of this old classic. I also decided to focus on lemon and raspberry in this recipe mix to create the light, citrusy, and refreshing flavour I was after.

See below for a kid-friendly version of this recipe, as well!

Perfect for serving at spring parties, Easter luncheons, and holidays dinners; I’ve offered a kid-friendly version of this raspberry lemon quencher for you and shared it below in addition to the traditional adult-friendly sangria recipe.

You could even prepare either or both of these recipes in larger batches and serve them in a punch bowl!

  2. Let the blended sangria settle for a minute and then skim any froth and/or pulp off the top of the mixture.

  3. Fill 6-8 cups with ice and pour the blended sangria over ice, adding frozen raspberries and lemon slices to garnish.

  4. To make a kid-friendly and/or non-alcoholic version of this, omit the vodka and substitute pink lemonade for the rose wine.

  5. Using the vodka will create a drier flavour, as will using a less-sweet rose wine as your base.
