Stunning Cottage Kitchen {The Wood Grain Cottage}

I can’t wait to show you this stunning cottage kitchen full of renovation inspiration!

Hello everyone! If you have been following along for a while then you know that things are all about kitchens ’round these parts these days. We are still knee deep in our own kitchen renovation (it got put on hold by our “rental project”) but that has just wrapped up and I have several big projects to share with you soon!

In the meantime, Spring Break has arrived, and we are taking some time together as a family (I will be sharing what we are up to on Instagram over the next couple of weeks). While I am gone I have lined up some fabulous kitchen tours from a few of my favourite bloggers who have great success in building or renovating their own dream kitchens. I just know you are going to find amazing inspiration in this series.

Today I want to welcome over my friend Shayna from The Wood Grain Cottage. I got to meet Shayna in person last July at the Haven conference and she is truly as sweet and down to earth in person as you imagine her to be from visiting her amazing blog. I know you are going to love her warm, cozy, and character full stunning cottage kitchen. Enjoy!

Hi there! I’m Shayna from The Wood Grain Cottage and I’m so happy Krista invited me to share my kitchen as part of her kitchen week!

If you’re new to my blog, my husband and I are big DIY’ers. We love creating new ideas on how to make our home look and function better, all while staying on a budget. In 2012 we built our home on our farm in  Colorado. Even with it being a new kitchen, I find myself wanting to tweak things, make changes, or add in something new. None the less, I still love it and spend plenty of time in there. 😀

Here’s our tour:

I really love the mix of warm woods and crisp white, and I’m definitely a neutral girl…

White tea cups and saucers on an open shelf.

A wooden rustic shelf on the wall in the kitchen.

I also like to incorporate plenty of DIY projects too. This huge chalkboard has been so much fun to change up with the seasons…

A chalkboard in the kitchen on the wall beside the cabinets.

A Hot Apple Cider recipe on the chalkboard.

I also love that our kitchen is very open, which makes it easy to entertain…

Hooks on the wall with aprons hanging on it.

I hope you enjoyed the tour of our kitchen, and if you’d like to see more, you can take our home tour here.

And be sure to stop by The Wood Grain Cottage to say hi!

Have a wonderful day!
