Time to Decorate for Christmas: Finding Inspiration in Celebrating Everyday Life with Jennifer Carroll
Since Thanksgiving is long over in Canada I am in full blown Christmas planning mode now… in fact I must admit to you that I have a shoulder ache today from the excessive crafting I did the last couple of evenings. But it was worth it! I can’t wait to share with you some of the projects I have been up to.
Are you as excited as I am about starting to decorate for Christmas?? If so, I have a great source of inspiration to share with you… the gorgeous e-magazine Celebrating Everyday Life with Jennifer Carroll.
While the gingerbread house that we plan to make with our two young sons` isn`t likely to end up looking quite like this stunning cover model – it is so inspiring to `flip` through a source full of gorgeous inspiration pictures as the Celebrating Everyday Life e-mag is.
Here are some of my favourites:
I have been busy learning how to make felt flowers… and now I can`t wait to use them for gift wrapping this year.
I love the white, blue, and red mix in this Christmas décor scheme… and there is that adorable gingerbread house again. I am also super enticed by the white tree… it looks so beautiful in this living room.
This large wood sign is such a fabulous feature on this mantel- I am working on a sign project myself that I can`t wait to share with you later in the week.
Wouldn’t you love to come home from sledding to an amazing Hot Chocolate station like this… I may not be able to fully incorporate this anywhere in our but I have definitely taken some inspiration from it for decorating our Christmas Porch this year.
I think this pine cone forest would be a really fun project to involve my boys in- they love helping me collect pine cones and I think they would be able to help glue and attach adorable little stars to them as well.

beautiful pictures and I’m loving that white Christmas tree very much too, I wanted one this year but with Nate around it’s been difficult having ours this year (he keeps pulling it down) (not joking) 🙂

Thanks for some great inspiration, as usual, Krista! This year I got lots of inspiration from a Crate & Barrel catalog. But most of my inspiration definitely comes from blogs and pinterest. Can’t wait to see your home at Christmas!
