Christmas Decor in the Bedrooms
Welcome to Day 11 of my 12 Days of Christmas Series! There is enough busyness this holiday season that simplicity is the key, right? I’m trying to keep things simple this year so that we can turn our focus onto enjoying our extra time with family and friends. Today I am sharing a few simple ways that I added some simple Christmas Decor touches to our bedrooms, and even the main bathroom.
Last week I shared our Christmassy Front Porch and Entry Hall....
Our Kitchen decorated for Christmas...
And our Living/Dining Room decked out for the holidays…
I have to confess that these areas are definitely where I put most of my decorating time and energy. But I do like to pepper a few little touches throughout the house. The boys, especially, love to have a Christmas feel in their bedroom.
I added some simple green wreaths around their lights, a couple of dark green patterned throws, and some plaid pillows to their beds and it instantly transformed their bedroom into a Christmassy feeling space.
I switched out some of their art and accessories for some Christmas decor that we have – and put up their handmade advent calendar (a gift from Grandma).
In our bedroom, I draped some plaid fabric over our headboard, draped a garland of golden berries and popped a wreath above the bed to add a little Christmas feel. I used our white coverlet from BlissLivingHome to keep the scheme neutral, and gold patterned pillows that I bought last year at Home Sense give a little hint of sparkle.
On our dresser and gallery wall I added some natural greenery and a few little Christmas accessories, like these beaded trees. A plaid scarf thrown anywhere instantly feels like Christmas to me.
When I want our bedroom to smell like Christmas I light this Frosted Fig and Cranberry Candle from the Alassis Holiday Collection. It is absolutely sumptuous – and I’m going to be offering a giveaway for one really soon so keep your eyes out on Instagram!
In the main bathroom I added a little scarf to our new hippo, just so he keeps cozy during this cold time of year…

Haha, Jen – I’m surprised I actually made it into my own. That’s why they are pretty darn low=key:)
All of these rooms look lovely! I don’t normally decorate bedrooms…Usually because I’m too tired from decorating the main floor of the house. But I kept things a little simpler this year and with the inspiration you just provided, I might give it a go. :0) Thanks for sharing!
I know, right? Decorating the rest of the house is enough! Thanks for your kind words and visit Tiffany!
