Five Minute Dollar Store Spring Forsythia Wreath
Come see my easy tutorial for a spring forsythia wreath that will take no more than five minutes!
Nothing shouts out Spring’s arrival in quite the same way as Forsythia.
We have planted beautiful Forsythia bushes in every yard that we’ve had – and every year I shout out internal whoops of joy whenever I see those first bright yellow blooms making their way out into the world.
Spring is here! Spring is here!
So this year I thought I would add a bit of that cheery yellow to our front door – with this super quick and easy spring forsythia wreath. It only took me about five minutes to put it together using very inexpensive craft supplies from my local dollar store.
I love when dollar store doesn’t look dollar store!
To make this spring wreath, I used a grapevine wreath form that I already owned- but you can pick one up very inexpensively at a craft store or Walmart. I also used 8 faux forsythia branches from my local Dollarama and some twine.
I simply wove the faux forsythia branches inside the grapevine wreath to help hold them in position…
I wove one branch in, moved along the wreath, wove another branch in, moved along… all the while securing it as needed with some twine wrapped around both the faux branch and the forsythia wreath and tied at the back . I “fluffed” the forsythia blooms over the twine to disguise it.
Done!
I also made this white and light Easter / Spring Wreath using dollar store finds!!

that’s a nice project.
That’s a nice craft. You can also do that by putting artificial flowers in the wreath by cutting off the flowers off the stems and gluing them on the wreath.
This wreath is beautiful and is perfect for spring! I love a great dollar store find. Thanks for sharing at the #HomeMattersParty
This surely doesn’t look like a dollar store wreath. It looks like something you can buy at the big box stores. Great idea, wonderful bright colors! Thank You

I am loving this simple but super cute wreath. Thanks for sharing.
Very pretty! My door lacks a wreath right now, and you’ve inspired me to spruce it up a bit around here!
What a great way to welcome Spring! Your wreath looks so fresh and pretty.
Pretty! I need to re-visit our Dollar Tree – I think your wreath is prefect!
I love how you put this wreath together, Krista! So quick and easy (that’s my kind of wreath). I also love forsythia, so I’ll definitely be making one of my own. Thanks!
Thanks Tiffany! I love the bright hit of spring colour that it adds to our decor!
