Simple Beachy Summer Mantel Decor
Come see my super beachy summer ready mantel decor!
Summer decorating!
It should be simple. Relaxed. And fun.
Summertime, especially in colder and wetter climates, is the time to soak up as much of the outdoors as possible.
But when you do finally venture back indoors, you want your decor to reflect that relaxed summery feel that is so short lived.
So today I’m sharing our super simple & beachy summer mantel decor; and I hope you love the sea of blues and fresh greens as much as I do…
I’m sharing my summer mantel as part of a fun one-day blog hop organized by my talented friend Taryn from Design, Dining, and Diapers. If you are popping by from Blooming Homestead, then welcome! You can learn more about me and this blog here; take our summer kitchen tour here; or check out our newly renovated lake front summer deck here!
Beachy Mantel Decor
I have not yet shared our summer living room tour; a few little changes are in the works… but I’m thrilled to share this simple beachy summer mantel decor with you because I just love how it reflects the whole feel of our summer decor this year.

Simple. check….
Since the main backdrop of our mantel is our TV, I love the way throwing a beachy image on the TV changes the whole feel compared to the ‘big black box’.
Our driftwood star that is painted white stays up all year round; and the oar and spindles were both vintage finds. The two wooden fishing floats are probably my new favourite pieces; I picked both up on a recent trip to HomeSense; the tall green glass vases are from HomeSense as well. I filled them with some tropical feeling faux palm leaves from Michaels.
The felt ball garland is a simple DIY and I’ll be sharing the tutorial for it very soon!
I added this little bench here recently when I played musical chairs & benches around our house… it used to live in our bedroom but I think it’s found a home in front of the fireplace for the summer. The fabric on it is one of my favourites; I ordered it from Tonic Living and used it to upholster this little DIY wooden bench. I will share that tutorial soon as well. I found the blue and white watercolour pillow through Chapters Indigo last summer season.
Well, simple, right?
Summery; beachy; relaxed; and fun?!?!
I think so… I can’t wait to share the rest of this pretty beach inspired summer living room with you next week! Until then, there is a ton more inspiration in store through today’s blog hop. Next on the tour is Stacy’s beautiful summer mantel decor over at Not Just a Housewife. Enjoy!!
So much to love on your mantle! Those chippy green table legs, the gorgeous blue oar, and that star!!!! Eye candy galore!!!
What a great idea. We love the beach, but live a distance from it.. Never thought of bringing the beachy feel to mel Love it.
Hi Judee! I love to bring in a beachy feel, especially in the summer. I think it suits the location of our house, on a lake. I like a beachy feel over cabin-y!
I love the beach theme! So peaceful and calming!! Beautiful!
Thank you Amy! I’m loving all the blues and greens in our summer living room:)
This is such a beautiful mantle. Love all those beachy hues!
Thank you Marie! I’m loving all the blues and greens this season!
I seriously love this! Those pompoms and the star are probably my favorite things 🙂
Thanks Stacy! And it was so easy to make that felt ball garland…I see some more of them in my future!
I absolutely love your summer mantel, Krista! The garland and buoys are adorable. It’s summer perfection!
Thank you Amanda! Those buoys were such a great find! Just after I bought them (at HomeSense – the US version is HomeGoods), a real old wooden buoy washed up on our lake beach! All chippy and falling apart, but a pretty cool find, nonetheless!
