Spring Living Room Tour

Woot woot! It’s that time again!

Time for a home tour!

Or at least, a peak into our spring living room!

As much as I love each season in it’s own right, there is something special about spring. The days are getting longer, the sunshine is peaking out more often, and the air is warming up enough to enjoy getting outside again.

Each spring I’m always thrilled to bring back the colour after months of a neutral winter palette. I get giddy about all of the spring flowers!

I love pastel colours and tulips; hyacinths and easter eggs;  Magnolia blooms and Cherry blossoms;  pops of pink and endless shades of blue. This year I’ve even added in a few dabs of purple and lilac. The whole thing has made for a light, airy, bright, and cheery living space and it feels just like spring should.

Happy and full of new life!

I’m super excited to be joining a group of my Canadian blogging friends this week as part of the Canadian Home Decor Bloggers Spring Home Tour week, hosted by Christina of The DIY Mommy and Shannon of Home Made Lovely (formerly AKA Design). I’ve shared the links to the rest of the participants at the bottom of this post – you can hop around each day this week to take in more gorgeous spring decor inspiration.

So let’s get this tour started, shall we? Come on in…

I’ve shared my sources for nearly everything at the bottom of this tour.

Overall, the best thing about spring “decor” is just the fact that we have more light again. The days are getting brighter and longer and there is nothing like having sunshine streaming through your windows again after months of winter…

I’ll be back tomorrow to share more details about our spring mantel and bookcase styling.

The mirror above our sofa was a recent find from Urban Barn. It was on a fantastic sale right after Christmas so I ordered it online; I originally intended it for the dining room but I decided I liked the way that the design of it echoed the tufting in the sofa so we hung it in the living room instead. What do you think?
