I am SO excited.
Days, people. We’re talking days.
Just days until it’s summer vacay!
And even though this has been one of my best teaching years in many years and I’m sad to see my class go; it’s also been a crazy busy year in our family life. So the break that we are about to enjoy is very, very welcome.
I’m hoping that we can squeeze in a ton of visiting time this summer; spend time with friends and family in a relaxed and consistent way that we haven’t been able to enjoy the past few busy summers.
And I’m also hoping that our new outdoor areas, our deck and our lower fire pit patio, are at the centre of it! In fact, we are starting off the summer with a bang by hosting a couple of big events; and I’ll be working away over the next few days on the finishing touches to our deck and lower patio.
I can’t wait to share some more of these recently renovated (and almost finished) spaces with you… but until then, I’ve gathered some absolutely beautiful patio inspiration! I hope these stunning and simple outdoor patio decor ideas help you with designing your summer space…

Talk about loving colour. I’m swooning over the beautiful purple and aqua in the pillows. And those tables?!?! Stunning. Try adding fun hits of colour outdoors, even if you aren’t used to it inside- the great outdoors can always handle more colour then you think! Via BHG
One of my favourite casual summer spaces is this beautiful, bright, and fresh sunroom Via Finding Silver Pennies. Try painting regular furniture to be outdoor (or porch/sunroom) pieces, like I did here.
